White Peony (Bai Mu Dan) is a traditional white tea from the Chinese province of Fujian. You could say it\u2019s the older sister of Silver Needle\u2014while Silver Needle consists of standalone tea buds, White Peony includes a bud along with a young leaf (or two, in the case of lower-quality tea). What does this mean for us? Primarily, it offers a more mature, fuller flavor, rich in woody and honey notes, with a much more substantial body. <\/p>\n
Our White Peony features exceptionally young buds and leaves, still covered in a rich silvery fuzz. This adds a pleasant sweetness to the floral, herbal, and woody brew. It comes from the true home of this tea, northern Fujian\u2014not some experimental blend, but a genuine classic. Every fellow lover of White Peony with whom we shared this tea was overjoyed.
