An exceptional tall tea bowl, hand‑crafted by Kraków‑based artist Poła Słomka. Fired in a traditional wood‑burning kiln.
Capacity over 110 ml.
The glaze is hand‑crafted by the artist, based on ash. It has a light, creamy color, filled with delicate recessed speckles through which the warm, reddish hue of the wood‑fired clay shows. The pale glaze allows the color of the tea to be admired. At the bottom of the bowl, the noble clay is revealed in full. The base is marked with the artist’s seal, accompanied by three glossy spots of glaze — a detail we found especially delightful.
The bowl has a beautiful, tall shape, very gently tapered, which gives it lightness and elegance. It stands on a delicate, wide foot. The rim is subtly defined, making it pleasant to rest against the lips while drinking.
It is dishwasher‑safe and does not affect the taste of the tea.
The artist, Pola Słomka, is a longtime friend of us and a remarkable expert—both in ceramics and in the art of tea itself. Her signature style features pieces with delicate walls and soft, rounded shapes. She creates her own glazes, giving them entirely unique, natural hues that set her work apart. We warmly encourage you to follow her creations on Instagram.
