A beautiful bamboo scoop for measuring and admiring tea, handcrafted by the Polish artist Łukasz Mikołajczyk.
Chaze in chinese means tea standard. Before electric scales were common, it helped measure out the right amount of leaves – by placing the leaves against the same background each time, you quickly learn what the proper amount looks like. A chaze also makes it easy to pour large leaves – like those in White Peony – into small teapots. The leaves slide straight in without getting stuck.
