Wide tea cups made entirely by hand by the well known Polish artist Artur Rej.
These cups have a wider shape that helps the tea cool at an ideal pace. They have a very interesting form with a narrow foot and a broad rim, and the gently slanted straight wall makes them feel wonderful in the hand. Their colors are striking with a strong shift from the natural orange of the fired clay at the bottom to a clear green of the glaze above. Everything is finished with beautiful dark speckles that are characteristic of this artist.
The glaze inside is light, which lets you enjoy the color of the tea.
You can see two fingerprints on the walls near the cup section, left by the artist while dipping the piece in glaze. Most artists choose to cover these marks, but Artur Rej likes to leave them bare, showing the beautiful natural color of the clay.
It holds 60 ml. Each cup may have a slightly different capacity and appearance, which is natural for fully handmade ceramics created without molds.
The pieces are fully glazed, which means they don’t affect the flavor of the tea and are dishwasher‑safe.
Artur Rej crafts artistic teaware in his studio nestled in the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park, where he also runs pottery workshops. His ceramic style is truly distinctive—his pieces are known for their cheerful, rich colors and soft, rounded forms that invite touch as much as admiration.
