Celadon‑glazed gongfu tea vessels made by Kraków‑based artist Marysia Graff.

Price range: 50,00 zł through 130,00 zł

Hand-thrown teaware for gongfu-style brewing.Truly beautiful, delicate ceramics made just for us by the talented Kraków-based artist, Marysia Graff.

A teacup and a chahai — the “sea of tea,” a vessel used for decanting the finished infusion from a teapot or gaiwan.

These pieces have a truly remarkable character — the delicate glaze reveals soft glimpses of the clay’s natural color, giving them a gentle, misty quality. Their hue is a true, traditional celadon green. Today the word “celadon” is often associated with a brighter, more saturated shade, but classic ceramics from Chinese Celadon were defined by these muted, grey‑blue tones. In our opinion, it beautifully complements the color of tea. On the bottom, resting on low feet, you can see the light shade of the clay. I have to say, I personally consider these vessels among the most beautiful pieces ever made by Marysia Graff.

They produce a beautiful, high, resonant sound. Thanks to their low feet, they stand very steadily. The chahai can pour in a delicate, light stream or in a strong, fast one, depending on how you tilt the handle — and in both cases the flow is smooth, steady, and doesn’t drip down the sides.

The chahai holds 80 ml, and the teacup holds 30 ml.

It’s worth noting that these are very small capacities, perfect for a one‑person or two‑person tea session.

They’re fully glazed, so they won’t affect the flavor of the tea and are safe to clean in the dishwasher.
