Unique teacups handcrafted by Polish ceramicist Artur Rej. They hold up to 50 ml of tea. These cups are a beautiful pale green with black discolorations and brown speckles. The bottom of each cup is adorned with a delicate black circle, and the inside features a natural cloud of fused glaze shaped like a moon, reminiscent of a bird’s feather. Additionally, you’ll notice two round patches of unglazed clay on the sides of each cup—these are the creator’s fingerprints, marking where he held the cups while dipping them in glaze. Many ceramicists cover these spots with an extra layer of glaze, but Artur Rej likes to leave his hand’s mark on his works. In our opinion, this adds charm to the cups, giving a focal point to the gaze and reminding us that these cups are handmade, not factory-made.
The sturdy walls ensure that the cups do not burn your hands and are durable, making them suitable for brewing on the go. Their wide shape provides stability, preventing tea from spilling. The slight flare at the top of each cup adds lightness to the shape. These cups are dishwasher safe. We are pleased to offer six similar teacups, and we encourage purchasing sets of several pieces. Artur Rej creates artistic tea ceramics in his workshop in the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park, where he also organizes ceramic workshops.
