A matchawan, a bowl for preparing and drinking matcha, thrown on the wheel by the Kraków‑based artist Poła Słomka.
This matchawan has a truly unique shape – the double rounded “snowman” form immediately catches the eye. The outside has a lovely red tone made up of darker lines and lighter, almost orange areas. Inside, it’s light and creamy, decorated with tiny brown speckles that look a bit like freckles.
The bowl is fully glazed, which means it doesn’t affect the taste of the tea and is safe to wash in the dishwasher.
