A matchawan – a bowl for preparing and drinking matcha – thrown on the wheel by the Kraków‑based artist Poła Słomka.
This matchawan has a beautiful, creamy color. It’s round and slightly narrower at the top, which makes it easy to prepare matcha without worrying about splashing. What really stands out is a single, modest blue spot on the side – a small detail that’s pleasant to rest your eyes on and that highlights the gentle colors of the whole piece.
The bowl is fully glazed, which means it doesn’t affect the taste of the tea and is safe to wash in the dishwasher.
Capacity: Up to 300 milliliters, though it’s most comfortable to prepare no more than 200 ml of matcha.
