NAOSHI – MATCHA STAND

Naoshi is a stand for a chasen, or a whisk for preparing matcha tea. This type of stand significantly extends the life of the chasen, preventing the bamboo fibers from becoming misshapen. After each use, it’s best to rinse the chasen with warm water and then place it on the naoshi while still damp. The flexible bristles will return to their proper place and retain their shape once dry. From our personal experience, using a naoshi can double the lifespan of a chasen. It’s an essential gadget for cafes where the chasen is used many times daily, and optional if you drink matcha every few days. However, it undoubtedly adds aesthetic value to the preparation of matcha.
