Pine Needle is a light and sweet tea rolled into the distinctive shape of pine needles. This is where it gets its poetic name! In our opinion, it is the very best representative of a classic Chinese green tea. Pine Needle, also known as Song Zhen, may not have achieved the mass popularity of giants like Long Jing; it is a niche tea, beautiful in its traditional simplicity. The most well-known teas often stand out for being unusual, while Pine Needle remains true to its essence without any gimmicks.
It is an excellent tea grown and prepared with the masterful craftsmanship found only among small artisan producers.
It features the floral notes characteristic of Chinese green teas and a deep, sweet flavor reminiscent of blanched green vegetables. It is the essence of Chinese greens, unobscured by surprising flavors, yet surprising us nonetheless, by how well the true classics perform.
