A high-quality sencha at a great price straight from the Kagoshima Prefecture. The glistening dark leaves create a clear brew with a bright green hue. A diverse set of flavours hide within them – from blanched green vegetables, through to roasted nuts, and finally a flavour akin to a salty bouillon. This a surprising combination as this tea is not only taken from Yabukita bushes, but a large proportion of the leaves come from the new Asanoka cultivar (invented in the 1990s).
We are delighted that we are able to have this tea in our shop. It is difficult to get a better price to quality ratio, especially when you take care to get teas of certified Japanese cultivation. For all fans of Japanese teas, we also recommend you try our Genmaicha Yamabuki; the blend of sencha with roasted rice from the Hokkaido Island – it is probably the highest quality genmaicha available in Poland.
