A delicate, light-colored teapot in a Japanese style, with a side handle. It’s entirely handmade by Kraków-based artist Anna Krężołek, crafted from light stoneware clay and finished with a soft, matte glaze.
The teapot has a calm, harmonious look that’s very characteristic of this artist’s work. Most of its surface is a beautiful beige tone with a gentle scatter of darker speckles. The raw clay is visible on the bottom and around the upper rim — it’s darker and slightly rough, adding a pleasant contrast that highlights the softness of the glaze. The shape is perfectly rounded and a bit lower in profile, typical of teapots inspired by Japanese tradition. Inside, you can clearly see the lines left from being hand‑thrown on the wheel.
The teapot pours with a satisfying, heavy stream. Near the spout it has a cluster of small holes that let the water flow through very quickly — about seven seconds — while keeping even the tiniest tea leaves inside.
The lid makes a pleasantly muted sound, the teapot sits beautifully in the hand, and the handle stays comfortably cool to the touch. The whole piece has a satisfying weight to it, letting you brew with strong, confident movements.
The teapot is fully glazed, so it won’t affect the flavor of your tea and is safe to wash in the dishwasher.
We offer two similar teapots; because they’re handmade on the wheel, they differ slightly from one another. However, Anna Krężołek is an exceptionally precise craftswoman, so the variations are minimal. Both teapots can be seen in the photos.
The smaller teapot holds 200 ml, while the larger one has a capacity of 250 ml.
