Description
Long Jing is an absolute classic Chinese green tea. It comes from the West Lake (Xi Hu) region of the Zhejiang province. In times as early as the Qing Dynasty, it was designated the Emperor’s Tea. People from all over China love Dragon’s Well, and prices for the teas picked from the earliest havests reach astronomical prices in tea markets.
This tea is consumed all over China. Due to its popularity, the tea known as Long Jing, is today produced in various Chinese provinces, as well as in Taiwan and India. However, in China it is often said that genuine Long Jing has to come from around the Hangzhou region of the Zhejiang province; the giant city where we find the famous West Lake.
Ok, so what is special about it? Well… quite a lot! We are soon planning to write a comprehensive article about this tea, but in practice it’s enough to simply try this tea. Our Dragon’s Well is full of the great qualities typical of this tea type; a characteristically nutty aftertaste, a sweet infusion and a lovely, cloudy body. Long Jing just has to be tasted.
We were able to find a great source of this tea, and as a result, we’re offering a high-quality product at a great price. The leaves of our Long Jing are characteristically glossy with yellowy-green tints. Additionally, they aren’t excessively overgrown and remain almost fully preserved. Most importantly, they smell and taste amazing!
*Unsurprisingly, you can buy this tea at almost any price range;even here in Poland, we can find it from a couple of dozen to a few hundred zloty for a 100g.
